Following widespread public opposition across Odisha, BJP MLAs have urged the Chief Minister to reconsider the recent hike in legislators’ salaries. The request was placed during a BJP legislators’ meeting, stressing the need to respect public sentiment.

The MLAs conveyed that people across the state have expressed strong resentment over the salary hike decision, prompting the party lawmakers to seek a review of the move in the interest of public opinion
