Probe Ordered After School Midday Meal Rice Found Missing in Cuttack’s Athagad Block

A formal inquiry has been launched by the Department of Public Education after allegations that midday meal rice meant for students was being sold instead of used for the meal programme at a government primary school in Chaogaon, under Athagad Block in Cuttack district, Odisha. Today (morning), villagers spotted a vehicle being loaded with eight sacks of midday meal rice and questioned the driver, who failed to explain the situation.
