Jatra owner Ananta Narayan Dhal, popularly known as Nandu Babu, has publicly defended actor Piyush, describing him as disciplined and responsible amid the ongoing Jatra controversy. Nandu Babu said that even after suffering a serious waist injury, Piyush still came and performed, showing conscience and commitment to his work.

In a strong statement, Nandu Babu said, “Piyush is a very good person. Even though his waist was injured, he did not lose heart. He has conscience and still came to perform. He is not ill-mannered like Sai and Payal,” drawing a sharp contrast between the artistes.
