ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଏଣିକି ପଞ୍ଚମ ଏବଂ ଅଷ୍ଟମ ଶ୍ରେଣୀରେ ପାସ ଫେଲ୍ ହେବ କଡ଼ାକଡ଼ି । ଫେଲ୍ ହେଲେ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଥରେ ଦେବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ ସପ୍ଲିମେଣ୍ଟାରୀ ପରୀକ୍ଷା । ପରୀକ୍ଷାରେ ସ୍ୱଚ୍ଛତା ଏବଂ ପରିଚାଳନା ପାଇଁ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଓ ଗଣଶିକ୍ଷା ବିଭାଗ କମିଶନରଙ୍କ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷତାରେ ଗଠନ ହେଲା ଷ୍ଟିୟରିଂ କମିଟି । ଜାତୀୟ ଶିକ୍ଷାନୀତି-୨୦୨୦ ପ୍ରଣୟନ ହେବାପରେ ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ପାଇଁ ଏଭଳି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ନେଇଛି ବିଭାଗ।

The Odisha School and Mass Education Department has decided to strictly implement a pass–fail system for students in Classes V and VIII. As per the new policy, students who fail in their annual exams will have to reappear for a supplementary examination.

To ensure fair conduct and transparency in the examination process, a Steering Committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Commissioner of the School and Mass Education Department.

This is the first such decision after the rollout of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, aiming to improve learning outcomes and accountability in primary and upper primary education across Odisha.
