In Paradeep, two factions of the BJD marked Chief Naveen Patnaik’s birthday separately, exposing internal divisions. In the morning, celebrations took place at Biju Patnaik Memorial Trust premises with participation from supporters of Sambit Rautaray and Bapi Sarkhel. In the evening, another faction organized the event at Paradeep Shramik Bhawan under the guidance of Paradeep BJD President and Municipal Chairman Basant Bishwal, attended by former Jagatsinghpur MP Dr. Kulamani Samal and other leaders. Despite the separate events, former MP Kulamani Samal claimed that Paradeep BJD remains united.
