Road safety activist Subrat Nanda has alleged that overloaded vehicles are severely damaging roads and often leading to accidents. He said district collectors and concerned departmental officials are responsible and action should be taken against them. Despite clear directions from the Supreme Court on overloading, the Odisha government and the Transport Department are not implementing the guidelines properly, he added.
