Only Farming Crops Will Not Double Income, Says Deputy CM Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo

ଆମ ସରକାର ଚାଷୀଙ୍କ ଇନ୍‌କମ୍‌କୁ ଡବଲ କରିବାକୁ ଚାହୁଁଛି। ଖାଲି ଚାଷ ନକରି ଚାଷୀ ପଶୁପାଳନ, କୁକୁଡା ଚାଷ ,ମାଛ ଚାଷ ଇତ୍ୟାଦି କରିବା ଉଚିତ। ସରକାର ଗୁଡାଏ ସବ୍‌ସିଡ୍‌ ଦେଉଛନ୍ତି। ଲୋକମାନେ ଏହାର ଲାଭ ଉଠାନ୍ତୁ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ଉପମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତଥା କୃଷି ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କନକ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧନ ସିଂହଦେଓ ।

The Odisha government wants to double farmers’ income, but this will not happen through crop cultivation alone, Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo has said. He stressed that farmers should not depend only on traditional farming and should take up allied activities to increase their earnings.

Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo said farmers should engage in animal husbandry, poultry farming and fish farming along with regular agriculture. He added that the government is providing several subsidies for these activities and urged people to take full advantage of the schemes.
