Odisha is celebrating a major milestone today as its first indigenously built satellite, CGUSAT-1, is scheduled for launch into space on January 12, 2026. The satellite, developed by a team of students and faculty in Odisha, will lift off aboard the ISRO PSLV-C62 rocket from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. This launch marks a proud achievement for Odisha’s space technology community.
