Odisha to Get New Excise Law Soon: Strict Action Against Illegal Liquor Trade

ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଖୁବ୍ ଶୀଘ୍ର ଲାଗୁ ହେବ ନୂଆ ଅବକାରୀ ଆଇନ। ପ୍ରକ୍ରିୟା ଶେଷ ହେବା ପରେ ନୂଆ ଆଇନ ଅନୁପାଳନ ହେବ। ଏନେଇ ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି ଅବକାରୀ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ପୃଥ୍ୱୀରାଜ ହରିଚନ୍ଦନ।

The Odisha government is set to implement a new Excise Act very soon, informed Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan. The state will intensify the “Nasha-Mukt Odisha” campaign to curb illegal liquor trade. Enforcement teams will wear body cameras during raids to ensure strong video evidence in court. The process to make excise staff an armed force is also underway.
