Odisha Student Dies in Mumbai Trekking Tragedy, Body Recovered from 400-Foot Gorge

An Odia law student studying LLB in Mumbai lost her life in a tragic trekking accident at Lonavala. The deceased, identified as Shreya Narendra Pati, had gone trekking to Lonavala on January 31. She reportedly slipped and fell into a nearly 400-foot-deep gorge near Tiger Point. After she failed to return home and her phone remained switched off, her family alerted the police. A local shopkeeper found her bag and informed the family using her ID details. Police conducted an extensive search using a dog squad and drones, and after nearly 36 hours, recovered her body. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
