A severe cold wave has descended upon Odisha, with early-morning temperatures plunging to record lows across districts. In Jharsuguda, mercury dropped to 8.6 °C by about 5:30 AM today. The chilling conditions are set to persist for the next two days, according to local weather forecasts.
