Odisha Police Launch Tough Crackdown on Illegal Cough Syrup Smuggling Network

ବେଆଇନ କଫ୍ ସିରପ ଚୋରା ଚାଲାଣ ଓ ବ୍ୟବସାୟ ରୋକିବା ପାଇଁ ଓଡିଶା ପୋଲିସ ଗ୍ରହଣ କରୁଛି କଠୋର ପଦକ୍ଷେପ। ବିଗତ କିଛି ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପୋଲିସ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ସ୍ୱତନ୍ତ୍ର ଅଭିଯାନ କରାଯାଇ ବିପୁଳ ପରିମାଣର କଫ୍ ସିରପ ଜବତ ସହିତ ଚୋରା ଚାଲାଣରେ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତମାନଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରିବାରେ ସଫଳ ହୋଇଛି। ମୋଟ ୬୧ଟି ମାମଲା ରୁଜୁ କରାଯିବା ସହ ମୋଟ ୭୩ ହଜାର ୧୮୧ ବୋତଲ ନିଶାଦ୍ରବ୍ୟ ମିଶ୍ରିତ କଫ ସିରପ ଜବତ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏହି କାରବାରରେ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ୧୮୧ ଜଣ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରାଯାଇଛି।

Odisha Police have launched a stringent crackdown to break the illegal network involved in smuggling and trading intoxicant-mixed cough syrup. Over the past few days, police teams carried out multiple special raids across the state, seizing as many as 73,181 bottles of contraband cough syrup. A total of 61 cases have been registered so far, and 181 accused persons linked to the illicit trade have been arrested.
