Odisha MP Ananta Nayak has stated that strong action will be taken against the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) following the death of a Class IX student at its Bhubaneswar campus. The case, which police have confirmed was a murder by fellow students, has triggered protests, calls for justice, and increased scrutiny of institutional accountability. The MP said authorities will inform the Chief Minister and the Commissionerate Police about the matter and insisted that no other college should replicate such lapses.
