The Odisha government plans to introduce a new law for sharecroppers (Bhagachashi) to ensure their legal protection. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi indicated this initiative during the inauguration of the Revenue Department’s sub-registrar office, instructing Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari to consider measures for safeguarding sharecroppers’ rights.
