In a significant reshuffle, the Odisha government has transferred 19 Odisha Police Service (Senior Branch) officers across the state. Alok Kumar Jena, previously serving as Additional SP of Bolangir, has been appointed as the new Additional SP of Berhampur. Seema Swain, the outgoing Additional SP of Berhampur, has been transferred to the office of the Inspector General of Police, Northern Range, Talcher.

Other notable transfers include Indurekha Paschimakabata, who has been posted as Additional SP, IUCAW, Dhenkanal, and Amrit Kumar Panda, who has been transferred as Additional SP, IUCAW, Bolangir. Swastik Panda will now serve with the Vigilance Organisation, while Sourav Otta has been moved to the State Police Headquarters in Cuttack. Pravat Kumar Biswal has been shifted to IUCAW, Kendrapara, and Sanjeev Kumar Satapathy posted to the Special Task Force (STF) Wing in Bhubaneswar. Additionally, Sasmita Sahoo, Aswini Kumar Nayak, and Devjeet Bhattacharya have been reassigned to Vigilance and DIB units.

These transfers are part of the Odisha government's ongoing efforts to streamline the functioning of the police force and ensure effective law enforcement across the state.
