Odisha AYUSH Doctors Stage Protest in Bhubaneswar Demanding Job Regularisation & Pay Rise

ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ମହାତ୍ମାଗାନ୍ଧୀ ମାର୍ଗରେ ଓଡିଶା ଆୟୁଷ ଡାକ୍ତର ମିଳିତ କ୍ରିୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ କମିଟିର ୧୦ ଦଫା ଦାବି ନେଇ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ। ମେଡିକିଲ ନୁହଁ ଗାନ୍ଧିମାର୍ଗରେ ଦେହରେ ଆପ୍ରୋନ୍ ଓ ଷ୍ଟେଥୋ ପକାଇ ଧାରଣାରେ ବସିଲେ। ସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଚାକିରୀ ଓ ଦରମା ବୃଦ୍ଧି ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଦାବି ରହିଛି।

On Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar, AYUSH doctors under a joint action committee staged a protest demanding the government fulfil their 10-point charter. They are demanding permanent employment and increased pay, among other demands. Around 3,000 contractual AYUSH doctors working under the state Health Department and National Health Mission have claimed neglect and policy-induced delay despite long years of service.

“They have ignored us despite decades of service — we are still contractual, still without job security,” the doctors said, demanding fairness and dignity for their service.

These AYUSH doctors have reportedly been serving since as early as 2001, or under NHM / MHU / RBSK schemes since 2007 or 2013, many for over 20 years. Yet till now, the government has taken no concrete step for regularisation or pay parity.
