Odisha Assembly Winter Session Begins Today; President Murmu to Address House

ଆଜିଠୁ ବିଧାନସଭା ଶୀତ ଅଧିବେଶନ। ପ୍ରଥମ ଦିନରେ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଦ୍ରୌପଦୀ ମୁର୍ମୁ ଅଭିଭାଷଣ ରଖିବେ। ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଦିନ ଗୃହରେ ଆସିବ ଅତିରିକ୍ତ ବଜେଟ୍। ଶୀତ ଅଧିବେଶନ ସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ଭାବେ ଚାଲିବାକୁ ନେଇ ସର୍ବଦଳୀୟ ବୈଠକରେ ସବୁ ଦଳର ସହଯୋଗ ଲୋଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି ବାଚସ୍ପିତ। ଶାସକ ଓ ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳ ବିଧାୟକଙ୍କ ସହ ସେ ଆଲୋଚନା କରିଛନ୍ତି। ଶାସକ ଦଳ ଭଳି ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳକୁ ସମାନ ସମୟ ଦେବାକୁ ଦାବି ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ବିରୋଧୀ।

The Winter Session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly begins today, with President Draupadi Murmu scheduled to deliver her address on the opening day. On Day 2, the Additional Budget will be tabled in the House. Ahead of the session, the Speaker chaired an all-party meeting and appealed for cooperation to ensure smooth proceedings.

According to the Speaker, discussions were held with both ruling and Opposition MLAs. The Opposition demanded that they be allotted the same amount of time as the ruling party during debates and discussions.

Today’s session marks the formal start of the Winter Session, which includes the Presidential Address and the presentation of the Additional Budget. Parties have been urged to contribute constructively throughout the proceedings.
