Several Indian nationals, including a large number of Odia engineers and labourers, are reportedly stranded in Uzbekistan. The affected Indians are stuck in the Angren area, where they have been staging a protest for the last five days in front of the Enter Engineer Company.

Among the stranded Indians are workers from Sanakhemundi and Digapahandi areas of Ganjam district in Odisha. Labourers from Odisha and several other Indian states had gone to Uzbekistan for work. As per the information, more than 1,500 Indians are currently affected, of which over 600 are Odias.
