The Union government has directed all e-commerce and delivery platforms to stop offering 10-minute doorstep delivery services. The decision aims to reduce pressure on delivery personnel and address safety concerns linked to tight delivery deadlines.

Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya asked companies to immediately withdraw 10-minute delivery commitments and related advertisements. He issued the directive during a meeting with representatives of various e-platforms, stressing that delivery agents should not be forced to meet risky timelines.

The minister also underlined the need to prioritise the safety and welfare of delivery agents, urging companies to ensure better working conditions instead of deadline-driven targets.
