Nipah Virus Scare After Suspected Cases in West Bengal, Odisha on Alert

ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗରେ ସନ୍ଦିଗ୍ଧ ନିପା ଭୂତାଣୁ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଦେଖା ଦେବା ପରେ ଓଡିଶାରେ ବଢିଛି ଛନକା। ଜନସ୍ବାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶକ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ନିପା ଭାଇରସ୍ ରୋଗୀ ଚିହ୍ନଟ ହୋଇନାହାନ୍ତି। ଓଡ଼ିଶାକୁ ଏଯାଏଁ ବ୍ୟାପିନି, ତେଣୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଭୟ କରିବା ଦରକାର ନାହିଁ। କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଏଯାଏଁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶନାମା ଜାରି କରିନି। ଯାହା ୨୦୨୩ରେ ମାର୍ଗଦର୍ଶିକା ଆସିଥିଲା, ତାହା ପାଳନ କରାଯାଉ। କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ନ ଦେବା ଯାଏଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ କୌଣସି ଅସୁବିଧା ହେବ ନାହିଁ।

After suspected Nipah virus cases were reported in West Bengal, concern has risen in Odisha. However, the Director of Public Health has clarified that no Nipah virus patient has been detected in Odisha so far and the infection has not spread to the state. There is no need for panic at present. The Centre has not issued any fresh advisory yet, and states have been asked to follow the 2023 guidelines until further instructions are issued.
