Odisha BJP MLA Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan has said that new politics will begin from 2029 as both the state and central governments are planning ahead for the next political phase, including increasing the number of polling booths and expanding the Legislative Assembly seats in Odisha to reflect future needs — discussions around delimitation suggest the current 147 Assembly seats may rise to around 200 after a future exercise, and preparations are underway to adjust electoral and administrative arrangements ahead of the 2029 elections.
