Naveen Patnaik Declines Enhanced Salary and Allowances, Writes to Odisha CM

Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik has announced that he will not accept the enhanced salary and allowances. In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Patnaik requested that the additional amount be utilised for the welfare of the poor, adding a new dimension to the ongoing debate over the pay hike.

ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଦରମା ଓ ଭତ୍ତା ନେବେନି ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ। ଏନେଇ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖି ଅବଗତ କରାଇଛନ୍ତି ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳ ନେତା ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ। ଏହି ଅର୍ଥକୁ ଗରିବ ଲୋକଙ୍କ କଲ୍ୟାଣ ପାଇଁ ଉପଯୋଗ କରିବାକୁ ନବୀନ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ଚରଣ ମାଝୀଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁରୋଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ବିରୋଧୀ ଦଳ ନେତା ଭାବରେ ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ୩ ଲକ୍ଷ ୬୨ ହଜାର ଦରମା ପାଇବେ। କିନ୍ତୁ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଦରମା ଓ ଭତ୍ତା ନେବାକୁ ମନା କରିଛନ୍ତି ନବୀନ। ସେପଟେ ନବୀନଙ୍କ ଏହି ନିଷ୍ପତ୍ତି ପରେ ବିଜେଡିର ଅନ୍ୟ ବିଧାୟକ ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ ଦରମା ନେବେ କି ପ୍ରତ୍ୟାଖାନ କରିବେ ତାକୁ ନେଇ ଚର୍ଚ୍ଚା ଜୋର୍ ଧରିଛି । ଏଡିଆର୍ ତଥ୍ୟ ଅନୁସାରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ବିଧାନସଭାର ୧୦୭ ଜଣ ବିଧାୟକ କୋଟିପତି । ଗତ ୯ ତାରିଖରେ ବିଧାନସଭାରେ ସର୍ବସମ୍ମତି କ୍ରମେ ଓଡିଶା ବିଧାନସଭା ସଦସ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦରମା, ଭତ୍ତା ଏବଂ ପେନସନ ସଂଶୋଧିତ ବିଧେୟକ, ୨୦୨୫ ପାରିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଏହା ପରେ ରାଜ୍ୟର ବିଧାୟକଙ୍କ ଦରମା ଭତ୍ତା ସାଢେ ତିନି ଗୁଣା ବଢିଯାଇଛି ।
