Mohammad Moquim to Launch New Political Party on Jan 12 | Youth to Take Lead | Exclusive

The foundation of a new political party led by senior leader Mohammad Moquim will be laid on January 12, on the occasion of National Youth Day. The party is expected to be formally constituted by the last week of March.

According to sources, young leadership from coastal districts will come together under the new platform, with special emphasis on youth participation and leadership within the party. Youth will be given priority in organisational roles and decision-making.

Moquim has also clarified that Shofia Firdous will take her own independent decision regarding her political future. The name of the new party will retain an association with the Congress ideology, though the final name is yet to be decided. Interestingly, astrologers are also being consulted to finalise the party’s name.
