A tragic landslide in Peket village of Rayagada block, Gajapati district, has left a father and son missing. Authorities suspect that both may be trapped under the soil and debris. The incident occurred late last night following heavy rainfall in the region.

According to officials, Fire Services teams have been engaged in rescue operations since last night. With the help of sniffer dogs, search and rescue efforts have been intensified. State Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena has personally visited Gajapati district, reviewed the ground situation yesterday, and again inspected the affected site today.
