ପୁରୀ ବଡ଼ଦାଣ୍ଡରେ ପୁଣି ମାଞ୍ଜା ସୂତା ଗୁଡ଼ି ଆତଙ୍କ। ଅଳ୍ପକେ ଜୀବନ ରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଲେ ବାଇକ୍ ଆରୋହୀ। ମାଞ୍ଜା ସୂତା ଲାଗିଯିବାରୁ ଭାରସାମ୍ୟ ହରାଇ ଗାଡିରୁ ଖସିପଡ଼ିଲେ। ସେଠାରେ ଥିବା ଲୋକ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇଥିଲେ। ପୁରୀ ବଡଦାଣ୍ଡରେ ବାରମ୍ବାର ଏଭଳି ମାଞ୍ଜା ସୂତାରେ ଗୁଡି ଉଡିବାରୁ ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଯାଉଥିବା ଭକ୍ତ, ପର୍ଯ୍ୟଟକ ଓ ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ବାସିନ୍ଦା କଲବଲ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି। ପୁରୀ ପୋଲିସ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ବାରମ୍ବାର ଏନେଇ କଟକଣା ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ କିଛି ଅମାନିଆ ଏଭଳି ମାଞ୍ଜା ସୂତାରେ ଗୁଡି ଉଡାଉଛନ୍ତି। ନିକଟରେ ପୋଲିସ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ଚଢାଉ କରାଯାଇ ନଟେଇ, ମାଞ୍ଜା ସୂତା ଜବତ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା।

Panic resurfaced on Puri’s Bada Danda after a bike rider had a narrow escape when a manja thread from a flying kite got entangled, causing him to lose balance and fall on the road. The biker was rescued by people present at the spot.

Incidents of kite flying using sharp manja thread have repeatedly endangered devotees, tourists and local residents commuting along Bada Danda. Despite repeated restrictions and warnings by Puri Police, some violators continue to fly kites using banned manja thread.

Recently, police conducted raids in the area and seized kites and manja thread. However, such incidents continue to raise serious safety concerns in the temple town.
