Mahanadi Water Dispute Talks Resume

ମହାନଦୀ ଜଳ ବିବାଦ ସମାଧାନ ପାଇଁ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ବାଟ ଫିଟୁଛି। ଆସନ୍ତା କାଲି ଉଭୟ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଓ ଛତିଶଗଡ଼ ରାଜ୍ୟର ଯୁଗ୍ମ ବୈଷୟିକ କମିଟି ବୈଠକ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହେବ । ଆସନ୍ତା ୨୦ ତାରିଖରେ ମହାନଦୀ ଟ୍ରିବୁନାଲରେ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଶୁଣାଣି ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହେବ ବୋଲି ସଂସଦୀୟ ବ୍ୟାପାର ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୁକେଶ ମହାଲିଙ୍ଗ ଗୃହରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ତରଫରୁ ଉତ୍ତର ରଖିଛନ୍ତି ।
After months of discussions, the governments of Odisha and Chhattisgarh are set to reconvene their joint specialised committee tomorrow to deliberate on a permanent solution to the Mahanadi water dispute. Previous informal talks between the two Chief Ministers, a Secretary-level meeting on 30th August in Delhi, and recent inter-state discussions have laid the groundwork. This will be the committee’s latest meeting following the sixth round of talks.
