Political heat has intensified around KISS (Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences) following a student death incident. Leaders from both the ruling and opposition parties have strongly cornered the institution, demanding swift and strict action.

The Kendujhar Member of Parliament stated that immediate action must be taken, alleging that the student was killed for a serious reason. Leaders have warned that KISS should not be allowed to function until justice is delivered in the case
