Trouble has deepened for Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) in connection with the tribal student death case. Taking suo motu cognizance of the matter, the National Scheduled Tribes Commission has sought explanations from the State School & Mass Education Secretary, Khordha District Collector, and the Superintendent of Police.

Meanwhile, the doctor who allegedly submitted an incorrect medical report in the student death case will also come under the ambit of investigation. This information was shared by Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Chairperson Babita Patra. She stated that a letter has been issued seeking action against the doctor concerned for submitting a faulty report.
