Senior Congress leader Mohammed Moquim, a former MLA from Odisha’s Barabati-Cuttack constituency, has been expelled from the Indian National Congress by the party’s organisational leadership. The action was taken by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) and approved by the Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee due to what the party describes as anti-party activities after Moquim publicly criticised party leadership and procedures.
