Jaundice has been detected at Bishwanathpur Adarsha Vidyalaya under Gandia block in Dhenkanal district. Parents have alleged that more than 10 students are suffering from jaundice. However, the District Chief Medical Officer has officially confirmed that only one student has been found infected so far.

The District Chief Medical Officer stated that the matter has been brought to the notice of the District Collector. Issues related to sanitation mismanagement have come to light, prompting concern among parents and local authorities.
