At the very start of the year, a blot on the khaki as Vigilance officials caught a police inspector red-handed while accepting a ₹40,000 bribe from a liquor shop owner at Rajmahal Chhak. Cash and gold were seized during a raid at his government residence. Vigilance has issued a stern warning against corruption.
