A passenger claims that after their flight from Abu Dhabi to Bhubaneswar was cancelled, when they asked the airline for help — “IndiGo” simply told them to sit quietly on a chair, leaving them stranded with no proper support. The ordeal began on 6th, after waiting through the night for re-booking or further instructions. Thinking it was unresolvable, they travelled on to Mumbai — still unsure what next.

“From the 6th we had a flight from Abu Dhabi to Bhubaneswar. After waiting they cancelled the ticket at 1 a.m. We somehow reached Mumbai. Here too, no one understood what to do. When we asked, IndiGo staff said, ‘Just sit silently on the chair.’” — a traveller.

This incident underlines a major failure in passenger support by the airline during sudden cancellations — highlighting frustrations and helplessness faced by travellers caught up in such situations. The lack of proper communication or assistance during cancellation and re-accommodation has left people feeling abandoned.
