ବଲାଙ୍ଗିର ସଦର ଥାନାରେ ଟେନସନ୍ । ଥାନା ଘେରିଲେ ଶହଶହ ମହିଳା ଓ ପୁରୁଷ । ବଲାଙ୍ଗିର ପାଟଣାଗଡ ରାସ୍ତା ଅବରୋଧ କରିଛନ୍ତି ଲୋକେ । କିଛି ଦିନ ତଳେ ସଦର ଥାନା କୁଶମେଲ ପଂଚାୟତରେ ଇଲେକ୍ଟ୍ରି ତାର ଚୋରି ହୋଇଥିଲା । ଲୋକେ ପୋଲିସକୁ ଖବର ଦେଇଥିଲେ । ସଦର ପୋଲିସ ଚୋରଙ୍କୁ ଥାନାକୁ ଆଣି ଛାଡ଼ି ଦେଇଥିବା ପଞ୍ଚାୟତ ଲୋକେ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରୁଛନ୍ତି । ଏହାର ପ୍ରତିବାଦରେ ଆଜି ଏସ.ପି ଘେରାଉ କରିବାର ଥିଲା । ତାପୂର୍ବରୁ ଆଜି କୁଶମେଲ ସରପଞ୍ଚ କୌସ୍ତୁଭ ସାହୁଙ୍କୁ ଉଠାଇ ଆଣିଥିଲା ସଦର ପୋଲିସ । କୁଶମେଲ ପଂଚାୟତର ଶହ ଶହ ମହିଳା ଓ ପୁରୁଷ ସଦର ଥାନା ଘେରାଉ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ତେବେ ପରେ କୌସ୍ତୁଭ ସାହୁଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡି ଦିଆଯାଇଥିବା ସୂଚନା ମିଳିଛି ।

Tension prevailed at Bolangir Sadar Police Station as hundreds of men and women from Kushmel Panchayat gheraoed the police station and blocked the Bolangir–Patnagarh road. The protest erupted over allegations that police released accused persons involved in an electric wire theft case reported a few days ago in the Kushmel Panchayat area.

Villagers alleged that despite being informed about the theft, the Sadar Police brought the accused to the police station and later released them. In protest, locals had planned to gherao the SP. Before that could happen, Sadar Police reportedly detained Kushmel Sarpanch Kaustubh Sahu, triggering anger among villagers who then surrounded the police station in large numbers.
