The High Court has declined to admit a petition challenging the salary hike of MLAs, terming the case premature. The court held that in the absence of a statutory notification, the matter is not maintainable at this stage.

During the hearing, Advocate General Pitambar Acharya presented strong arguments on behalf of the state. Accepting the procedural objection, the High Court stated that without a formal notification, the case cannot be taken up for consideration.
