Grant Unitary University Status to Shailabala College': BJD Demands!

BJD leaders and supporters have raised the long-pending demand to upgrade Shailabala Women's Autonomous College in Cuttack to unitary university status. Established in 1913 as Odisha's first women's college (and India's second), this historic institution has an 'A' grade NAAC accreditation, autonomous status since 2017, strong infrastructure, and a legacy of empowering women through higher education. Despite fulfilling key criteria, it remains affiliated to Utkal University and has been denied university recognition for years.
