Global prices of gold and silver have surged, with gold rising around 50% and silver by 60%. This sharp increase has prompted investors to pour money into gold and silver, seeking profitable returns.

As a result, many investors have started investing in various gold and silver ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). Notably, silver ETFs alone saw inflows exceeding ₹16,000 crore, pushing up silver market prices.

However, the physical market hasn’t seen an equivalent supply increase. The available silver in the market couldn’t match the rising demand, causing a significant price jump. This also led to market disparities, with silver prices in India rising 5–12% more than international rates.

Investors should note: buying silver ETFs now may mean paying higher than the original price, and any future decline in rates could result in potential losses.
