At Bahanaga block in Balasore district, Odisha, India, residents of Kharsahapur Gram Panchayat are facing an acute water shortage, even though this area lies near the site of the well-known train tragedy near Bahanaga. Locals say there is nothing but dry heat, and water is nowhere to be seen in hand-pumps or wells.
