A Vigilance raid has exposed shocking disproportionate assets belonging to Semiliguda Forester Niranjan Satapathy. Despite being a forester by profession, large-scale wealth was unearthed during searches conducted at five locations linked to him.

The Vigilance team carried out raids at multiple premises, including two three-storey buildings in Jharpada, Bhubaneswar. During the operation, officials recovered bundles of ₹500 notes hidden under the seat in the prayer room, along with gold ornaments.

Apart from this, expensive watches and foreign currency were also seized, indicating assets far beyond known sources of income. The Vigilance investigation is ongoing to assess the total value of the seized properties and valuables.
