Forest Fire Erupts in Telkoi Range of Keonjhar, Wildlife and Medicinal Plants at Risk

କେନ୍ଦୁଝର ବନଖଣ୍ଡ ତେଲକୋଇ ବନାଞ୍ଚଳରେ ନିଆଁ । ଗତକାଲି ରାତିରେ ବିମଳା ଫରେଷ୍ଟ ସେକ୍ସନ କରମଙ୍ଗି ଘାଟି ତଳ ରାସ୍ତା ପାର୍ଶ୍ବରେ ଥିବା ଜଙ୍ଗଲରେ ନିଆଁ ଲାଗିଯାଇଥିଲା । ରାସ୍ତାରେ ଯିବା ବେଳେ କେହି ଦୁର୍ବୁତ୍ତ ନିଆଁ ଲଗାଇ ଦେଇଥିବା ଅନୁମାନ କରାଯାଉଛି।

A forest fire broke out in the Telkoi forest range under the Keonjhar forest division in Odisha on Tuesday night. The blaze was reported along the roadside beneath Karamangi Ghat in the Bimala Forest Section. By morning, dry leaves scattered across the forest floor were completely reduced to ashes.

It is suspected that some miscreants might have deliberately set the fire while passing through the road. Due to the fire, valuable trees and medicinal shrubs in the forest are being destroyed.
