A massive fire that broke out at a supermart near Lingipur in Bhubaneswar continues to rage, with officials saying it may take another 3–4 hours to fully extinguish the flames. Firefighters are struggling as water is proving ineffective in controlling the blaze.

Director General of Fire Services, Sudhanshu Sarangi, said, “The fire is not getting extinguished with water. We are breaking the wall on the fourth floor to enter inside.”

Fire personnel are carrying out intensive operations by breaching the building structure to access the core of the fire. Efforts are underway to bring the situation under control.
