Farmers Bring 20 Bulls to Cuttack Collector’s Public Hearing in Unusual Protest

ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳଙ୍କ ଜନଶୁଣାଣିରେ ଅଭିନବ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ। ଆଜି କଣ୍ଟାପଡ଼ା ବ୍ଲକରେ ଥିଲା କଟକ ଜିଲ୍ଲାପାଳଙ୍କ ଜନ ଅଭିଯୋଗ ଶୁଣାଣି। ଏହି ଶିବିରରେ କିଛି ଚାଷୀ ଓ ଜନ ପ୍ରତିନିଧି ବୁଲା ଷଣ୍ଢଙ୍କ ଉପଦ୍ରବ ପାଇଁ ଚାଷୀ ବ୍ୟାପକ କ୍ଷତି ସହୁଥିବା ନେଇ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ ଜଣାଥିଲେ। ଜନଶୁଣାଣି ଶିବିର ଚାଲିଥିବା ବ୍ଲକ୍ ପରିସରରେ ପ୍ରାୟ କୋଡିଏଟି ଷଣ୍ଢଙ୍କୁ ନେଇ ପଶି ଯାଇଥିଲେ ଚାଷୀ। ସେହି ଷଣ୍ଢମାନଙ୍କୁ ବ୍ଲକ ପରିସରକୁ ନେଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିବାଦ ଜଣାଇଥିଲେ। ବର୍ଷ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ଏହି ସମସ୍ୟାକୁ ନେଇ ଅଭିଯୋଗ କରାଯାଉଥିବା ବେଳେ ସରକାର କି ପ୍ରଶାସନ ସମସ୍ୟାର ସମାଧାନ କରୁ ନଥିବାରୁ ତୀବ୍ର ଅସନ୍ତୋଷ ଦେଖାଦେଇଛି। ତୁରନ୍ତ ଷଣ୍ଢ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ହଟା ନଗଲେ ଆଗାମୀ ଦିନରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରତିବାଦ କୁ ଜୋରଦାର କରାଯିବ ବୋଲି ଚାଷୀ ଚେତାବନୀ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି।

An unusual protest was witnessed during the public grievance hearing of the Cuttack District Collector held today at Kantapada Block. Several farmers and public representatives raised the issue of widespread crop damage caused by stray bulls. To highlight their grievance, farmers entered the block premises with around 20 bulls while the public hearing was underway.
The farmers said they are suffering heavy losses due to the menace of roaming bulls and alleged that despite repeated complaints over the years, neither the government nor the administration has resolved the problem. Expressing strong dissatisfaction, the farmers warned that if the bulls are not removed from the area immediately, the protest will be intensified in the coming days.
