The death of a Plus II Adivasi student at Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KIIS) has triggered fresh controversy. While the institute has termed it a case of suicide, the deceased student’s father has expressed suspicion over the circumstances surrounding the death.

Questions have been raised over allegations that the body was shifted to a hospital before the family arrived and claims regarding the manner in which the student allegedly hanged himself from a three-foot bed. These issues have intensified doubts about the official version.
