End of Maoism Era in Odisha as Top Maoist Couple Nikhil–Indu Surrender With 15 Cadres

ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ମାଓବାଦ ଇତିହାସରେ ପଡ଼ିବାକୁ ଯାଉଛି ଯବନିକା। ପୋଲିସ ହାତରେ ଧରାଦେଲେ ଟପ୍ ମାଓ ଦମ୍ପତ୍ତି ନିଖିଲ ଓ ଇନ୍ଦୁ। ରାୟଗଡ଼ା ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଘଞ୍ଚ ଜଙ୍ଗଲରୁ ପତ୍ନୀ ଇନ୍ଦୁ, 7 ମହିଳା କ୍ୟାଡର ସହ ମୋଟ 15 ମାଓବାଦୀଙ୍କ ସହ ଆତ୍ମସମର୍ପଣ କରିଛି ବାସଧାରା ଘୁମୁସର ନାଗାବଳୀ ଡିଭିଜନର ପୂର୍ବି ବ୍ୟୁରୋ ସମ୍ପାଦକ ନିଖିଲ ଓରଫ୍ ନିରଞ୍ଜନ ରାଉତ।
A major turning point in Odisha’s anti-Maoist drive as top Maoist leader Nikhil alias Niranjan Raut surrendered with his wife Indu and 15 cadres, including 7 women, from dense forests of Rayagada. Both carried a reward of ₹55 lakh each. In the presence of OTV Rayagada correspondent, Nikhil returned to the mainstream. DGP appealed to remaining Maoists to surrender and join normal life.
