Commissionerate Police Bust Major Cyber Fraud Gang, 7 Arrested

In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police have busted a large cyber fraud gang and arrested seven accused, including four bank employees. The gang allegedly lured people with promises of doubling their money and cheated them using fake bank accounts. Police seized hard disks, computers, laptops, mobile phones, cheque books, SIM cards, scanners and other incriminating materials. A total of 554 bank passbooks, 69 mobile phones, 704 debit and credit cards were seized, while ₹90 lakh in bank funds has been frozen. The details were shared by the Police Commissioner at a press conference in Cuttack.
