Tension continues in the Chandbali area of Bhadrak district following the rape and murder of a minor. Locals remain on edge, leading to face-offs between the administration and residents in several places.

The accused’s house has been demolished, and illegal shops in the surrounding area have been evicted. Despite the arrest of the main accused by police, the situation in the Chandbali police station limits has yet to return to normal.

Meanwhile, the incident has triggered a political storm. The Congress party has announced a 12-hour bandh tomorrow, further escalating tensions over the Chandbali case.
