Centre Orders Maoist Root-Elimination; Odisha Sets March 2026 Target

ମାଓବାଦୀ ମୂଳପୋଛ ନେଇ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ଗୃହମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ରହିଛି । ତେଣୁ ୨୦୨୬ ମାର୍ଚ୍ଚ ୩୧ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ରାଜ୍ୟରୁ ମାଓବାଦୀ ମୁଳପୋଛ ଟାର୍ଗେଟ୍ କରାଯାଇଛି । ମାଓବାଦୀଙ୍କୁ ସରେଣ୍ଡର ପାଇଁ ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର ପଲିସି ରହିଛି । ଯେଉଁମାନେ ସରେଣ୍ଡର କରିବେ ପଲିସି ଅନୁସାରେ ସୁବିଧା ପାଇବେ ।

The Union Home Minister has directed the complete root-elimination of Maoists, following which Odisha has fixed 31 March 2026 as the deadline to wipe out the insurgency. Maoist cadres have also been given four months to surrender under a dedicated policy.

Officials stated that those who surrender will receive benefits as laid out in the rehabilitation policy, aimed at encouraging a return to mainstream life.

The state’s intensified push comes under clear central instructions, combining crackdown measures with a structured surrender-and-rehabilitation framework.
