CBI Raids Senior IPS Officer’s House, Seizes Huge Cash and Assets

The CBI has conducted a raid on the residence of a senior 2009-batch IPS officer from Punjab in connection with an 8 lakh rupee loot case. The agency seized huge cash, valuables, and assets during the operation.

The officer, currently posted as DIG in Punjab’s Roopar range, along with an associate, has been taken into custody. The raid, conducted across Punjab and Chandigarh, recovered cash worth approximately ₹5 crore, around 1.5 kg of gold ornaments, and immovable and movable assets.

Additionally, the CBI seized a Mercedes and an Audi, along with 22 watches, 40 liters of imported liquor, firearms, and ammunition from the officer’s residence. From the associate, ₹21 lakh in cash was also recovered.

Both accused are scheduled to be produced in court tomorrow.
