A tragic road accident was reported from Sambalpur where a car met with a severe crash on National Highway 55. The incident occurred at Naksapali under Dhanupali Police Station limits. One person died on the spot, while two others sustained critical injuries.

Eyewitnesses said the car was stationary when it was suddenly hit by another vehicle and went under a Hywa (heavy truck). “Three people were inside the car. We managed to rescue one person using tools, but could not pull out the others. Fire Services were called and they later recovered them,” a local said.
