In a political exchange, BJP legislator Saroj Padhi has responded sharply to criticism from Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati, saying Bahinipati doesn’t understand national issues and stressing that “our party MLAs are in touch with us.” Padhi claimed that if the fourth candidate is fielded, some Congress legislators will support us, but he added that even if the Pradesh Congress Committee president swears in his MLAs, the result will be reversed on the ground. The comments came amid ongoing political strategising ahead of elections and seat arrangements
