At yesterday’s gathering, Chandra Sarathi, Sambit, Bishnubrata and Rudra Maharathi were seen taking the lead. However, questions have been raised over the absence of senior leaders like Debi Mishra, Sanjay, Atanu and Pratap Jena, adding fuel to speculation.

Political circles are abuzz with claims that the gathering was organised to check Sujata’s entry into the BJD during the party’s foundation day. It is being said that the move was orchestrated from behind the scenes by a prominent young coastal leader of the BJD.
